enclosure question for three 10" classics!

I'm about to receive my three 10" classics subs, I'm gonna put them in a sealed box now but, I'd like to build a vented box for them also just to see/hear the difference. but I'm not sure on what type of box to build, should I port it or slot it? and what dimentions would I need?

thanks

Ported and slotted are the same thing. Its a hole either way you look at it lol. Get the specs for the subs and then use one of those sub box calculators on the net. Keep in mind that a ported box will need quite a bit more room than a sealed box. A slot as opposed to a circular hole may be better because its narrower. easier to route a slot port than it is to stick a big tube somewhere in the box. It all depends on how much room you have for a box.

ya with the room I have I've decided to go sealed, and jalat gave me all the information I needed to build a box, sent me a nice pic and all the dimentions of the cuts I needed. went to home depot and the guy cut everything for me. so now I'll go to my buddy's garage and build it on the weekend. or next week
