You should definatly use matting. But for your first box lay it on the inside. So do your fleece around 2-3 coats resin and then let is all set up. Then glass mat it on the interior of the box. This way you get practice at getting it smooth. If you do your first box matted on the out side you will be sure to be sanding for hours. Remember fleece has a smooth side and a rough side. Use the smooth side out. And some fleece only stretches one way. So check that to. Happy glassin' BTW ventilation, ventilation, ventilation.

once the fleece is stretched apply resin. once it is dry, if you have access to the underside apply the fibre. the resin will soak through.
fibre adds texture, if you do it on top it means more sanding to smooth out.
resin makes things hard and fibre makes it strong.
the issue is on top or underneath .no difference

ok guys.. thanks for all your help. I finished the fiberglassing and now i have to finish everything. I have a couple questions tho still

1. What kind of body filler can I use to cover the enclosure so i can sand it easier. On the 12volt site the guy uses Rage Gold, But Part source has body filler products on sale so i was wonderin if i can use the regular Bondo body filler? Is there a special consistency / type of body filler i have to use? I also saw this fiberglass body filler made by bondo, can i use that?

2. Terminals: Should I put 2 terminals on my enclosure or should i not.
The tutorials i read told me not to put terminals because the subs will lose power, but the car audio place that is goin to instal my stuff says that i need tutorials.. what to do? (and can i just get the terminals from radio shack)

you loose power at every connection, not nessecerily a noticable amount but a tiny bit. Why are you getting a shop to install your stuff? It is easy to do and if you are unsure of something ask around on here or do a search.
