hey guys, me again,

looking into taking on a challenge this winter and trying out some fiber glassing... also interested in carbon fiber overlay(can get sweet deal on it)

just wondering if there was any experts on here and could throw some tips out there for the group at large.

im basing my technics off of this:

is there a difference in fiberglass vs. carbon glassing?

might just fiberglass and then overlay carbon fiber on top for nice look?thoughts any problems you might think?

Laying down carbon is a completely different beast.

My only real advice when learning to glass, wear gloves, and mix your resin in small batches.

 

You don't want to learn on carbon. Make your piece out of fibreglass and then just carbon the top layer for looks.

 

that was the plan duke... my only problem was if it would bond together or not, fiberglass was the innerds and carbon fiber for shell......
