isobarik box: pros cons

isobarik box: pros cons
alright so im thinking about building an isobarik box for my 2 10" infinity subs. however that design doesnt seem to be very popular at all and im just wondering why? how can i expect the output to compair to a normal ported or a sealed box? the main reason im considering this option is because of the space it would save me.
also, does anyone happen to have any tips or links that would give directions on how to build such a box?

Isobarik allows you to run a set (pair) of drivers in half the airspace one would require. The tradeoff is that you only get the output of a single driver. This can sometimes be offset if you can change to a vented box where only a sealed on could normally fit.
Configuring one is simple - just use half the recommended airspace for a single driver. Most box programs have an iso option.
You don't see isobarik configurations much anymore since woofers take such small boxes as it is now. Not like back in the early 90s when a 12" wanted 2.5cuft each
