JL Audio 12W3v2s...any experience here? pros/cons?

I am currently running a single 12L7 in a kicker slot ported box, and whiles it hits hard, I am still partial to JL (I had a set of W4's back in the day which I absolutely loved). I am thinking of getting a pair of 12W3v2's now in a sealed box. Anyone have anything to say about them? Anything to watch out for? I know they can take twice their rated power each, but I don't plan on really beating on them.

What was it you liked about your W4's (this may help what determines a good choice for you) and also what is it that you don't like about your current setup?

My opinion on the W3v2 is that it is neither the best for overall output nor SQ for its price point and power ratings. And to add if you are planning on using a sealed enclosure for this install the W3v2 wouldn't be on my list of drivers to use.

The L7 is a great subwoofer, however I am looking for something that is a little more accurate. Also the current vented enclosure doesn't hit as low as I would like it to.

I liked the W4's becasue they took loads of power, way over their power handling abilities, hit low and did a clean job doing it. I guess you can say I have a more emotional attachment to the name than anything else as well.

Honestly I would suggest figuring out the characteristics of your current enclosure and possibly changing it to something more suitable for your tastes before purchasing more gear. The Kicker enclosure is likely meant to make the driver big and loud sounding with less emphasis on accuracy and lower bass ie. likely it is tuned higher for more output and is larger than optimal for accuracy to support more output.
