i see, i'm building a box for my wifes taurus wagon, so i was thinking big-3 cube (2 10's)- 1500 watt amp, it's a big car. this is starting to make sense to me, i've never built my own box cause i don't get along with wood, it doesn't get along with me, now i'm gonna start trying.

2 type r would be good in a box about 3.5 internal with about 60-65 sqin of port tune by shortening or lengthening port.

2 - 4 inch areoports are good but i would say getting another one. Or trying 1 - 6 inch aeroport. With aeroports usually you would go with a smaller box. 2-10s about 2-2.25 cuft.

thanx for the help, were going to try a number of different things to see how they all work, most importantly i'm using everying discussed here to test it out, were not going to glue the box together right away so we can change the port face depth, and different ports, when we find our peak, glue and screw then start glassin'.
