Not sure on what port i should go with.

Not sure on what port i should go with.

Hey everyone. my box is almost complete and pictures will be comming really soon. im just unsure on what i should have my 4 alpine type r's tuned to. the box is 6.5 cubic feet. they are the dual coil 2 ohm 10" model.

need more info.. judging by your name you are putting tjis in a vw passat? what year? where are you placing the box? what position ? do your seats for down on your model?

2006 2.0t. yes the seats fold down. the woofer cones are facing up towards the trunk lid. and the port faces directly back to the back of the car. i do put the seats down when im going for more crazy bass

I would just aim the port from the side of the box into the area just behind the wheel well on driverside of the car... either multiple 4" aero ports or a aingle 6" aero port... ask Yuli... he seems to have a good source for ports

a buddy at my local shop told me for the design the best way is to port it right out the rear. so i already have. i know its to small for the box. but i got a huge increase in bass when i put it my small port ( i had it laying around ) im just curious to the port size at this point. i know i can be hitting my real low notes better then i am now. i can easily build the port myself too. i just need to know what size would be best for the current setup.
