Than it's SPL

If it's SPL you are after, than go ported.
if it's SQ, than I'd suggest sealed.
What type of ride is it going into?
Power?

umm.. rite now there gettin about 650 rms. and the car is a 03 lancer oz. trunk allready vibrates like mad. plus its not the biggest either. but i dont like bass that dies to fast..which is what i expect a sealed enclosure to do.

Dead bass

If you put a sealed,or ported cabinet into a sealed trunk, it's no different than listening to it from a sealed closet, while you are next door. The trunk rattles because air pressure can't escape.
So.., the trick is to "vent" the bass into the passenger compartment, where you sit. By building a cabinet that allows for the output of the subs and port, to vent through the rear deck (remove rear speakers).
I had an '85 Accord, with my subs firing through the rear deck, no rattling trunk, all the bass in the car, no bass in trunk.
