Sub sound like their torn at high levels

Sub sound like their torn at high levels
when I play my subs at very high levels they kind of flutter at the very low levels.
Just wondering if its a pressure problem or not.
the subs and amp are completely compatible as the experts say, I should be able to beat the out of them.
anybody have the same problem?
