Subs mounted in backward

If you mount your subs in backward with the back sticking out of the box does that affect the reccomended airspace?

yes...

If you're building a box, ports, braces, subs, all take up volume.

If the recommended box size for a sub is say 1.0 cuft , its 1.0 cuft PLUS displacements. So if the sub is in the box it displaces .20 cuft... you'll want to build a 1.20 cuft box.. to meet the exact suggested box size.

Have it sticking out, then its 1.0cuft
