. I like the 1/4 lambda tuning because it controls driver excursion at resonance and therefore distortion. As far as Sd area goes I find larger cross sections better for these longer lines. I also prefer offset driver to control ripple and if I'm using the line for a wideband application I almost always use a mass loaded type (ported). It controls the ripple better for a smooth response and easy transition to the midrange. Have you built many transmission lines?

Just a couple, only for the experience. 1/4lambda gave me strong peaks in 2x Fs but I never worked on them to reduce the peak
