Yea bimmers got very good trunk sealing, so like its very hard, i I just heard my friends type x he got 2 12 inches, and OMG they are sooo loud!!!! also his box is only like 2 cubic feet, so there isnt enough room for the alpines to breath. but they still bang hard?

The way i would do it is facing them towards the front, that is really the only option, maybe taking ur rear speakers out, mounting them some where else, and leave an opening there. I saw that on my friends merc and it SOUND AMAZING!!! Give it a try.

the problem is the head unit, its really crap, i have a brand new alpine hu here waiting for some more stuff in the mail to install it, i tihnk im just going to put the deck, and forget about the sub for now, there is just no use for it if it cant go loud, i mean, now its loud, but it only accompanys the music, i want it to stand alone and have nothing but bass. booooooom booooooooom boooooooom (really low) bo0o0o0o0oooooooooom

with my other vehicles i it was louder, have cuz they were flimsy toyotas and el caminos

 

Face it towards the front and take ur rear speakers off ur rear deck, and see if the speaker holding thing can be removed, this will give u the best sound u can get, unless u can face the subs facing up, towards the rear deck.

why would i hate on your make shift audio system when i have one of my own that anyone on this forum will say is much better than yours.

all i've done in this thread is tell you the things you should do to produce better results, and i get called a hater...

things like telling us your lights dim when the bass dropz (correct spelling is * drops) just tells me that your immature and dont understand very much about car audio.

Ok well... obviously he doesnt know about sound audio, and obiously its not something to be ashamed of. There is a reason these forums were set -up its to help people and for you to say its fail is kinda unfair. And i KNOW this forum wasn't made so that you can wave your e-**** around bragging about how much better ur sound set up is.... btw what do you drive?

and as for the lights, what amp you got? i know the e46 gots a 140 amp alternator that is an option and standard on the 330ci and m3, i would take a look for a good used m3 alternator, because the m54(which is the engine u got) is basically the same as the S54(m3 engine) in terms on alternator location and bolt-up, only thing i dont know is if the connectors are the same. so if u are going to shop for a bigger alternator, try and look at the connectors.

Dont take the subs out!!! especially the type x's there my favourite sub:P

oh and btw i got two type x's in my integra and they are just in a ported baseworks box,

And let me tell you, im afraid to keep the windows closed and play it max, if you keep both doors open and the rear seats down, and u stand outside near the doors, you can feel the air rushing past you from inside the car. And if it works in a intergra, it will work for you, all i did was run 0 gauge wire and a good battery. Also i almost never played it at full blast (well maybe when i just bought it :P). Trust me they pound!!! even if the box isnt built to spec, so i think you shouldnt give up and just see how it goes, and down the road save up money for a good batttery and after u get the battery get a good sub box. Also make sure u only turn on your subs when ur car is running, and do your best not to run them when its idleing.

I'm not e-thug. I just tell it like it is. I give advice earlier in the thread, and then called a hater? Why would I hate on an enclosure thats been hacked up to be something its not?

I told him to just rebuild it, even gave him some specs. If anything, I deserve a thank you.

As for my ride, why dont you come out to a couple shows and find out? Introduce yourself. I mean, you guys drive BMW's.... Whats there to hide? Show off that "Ultimate Driving Experience"... or lack there of.
