Picked up my new whip a 2002 yukon xl slt, and going from my first vehicle which was a 1996 grand caravan this is my pride and joy.
This thread is basically a build log of the building of my custom sub boxes, and please keep in mind this was the first time i have ever tried to make a box and cover it

Stereo equipment going in:
MTX req5(Keeping stock stereo for stock look)
Jl audio a4300 for speakers.
Clarion apx1301 for subs. (420rms @ 2ohms)
Jl audio 10wx's got at car audio gone wild for 50$ a piece wired in series to 2ohms)
Havent decided on the speakers yet, opinions?

Just so there is no confusion, these are sealed enclosures, however they are downfiring so the sides are 2.5" longer than the face.
Im thinking of doing a baseball stitch on those overlaps at the corners?

I put in JL audio 10wx's which i got at the pre-release at car audio gone wild for 50$. They can handle 200rms.
I heard two in a sealed box in my buddy's car and its loud
