1 Alpine Type R vs. 1200 watts

Sounded good and loud , only lasted about five minutes though now my car is filled with smoke. Guess it's time for a new sub any suggestion for a 12" that will be louder and take the power. I'm limited in room to maybe 3 cu. ft max for the box.

Digital Designs has a 12" rated for 1200 w rms. DD3512 available in dual 2 ohm and dual 4 ohm.

the type X 12 is rated 1000 rms, 300 peak.

Did you blow it up on purpose?

not really just wanted to see how hard it could be pushed I guess i went a little too far. It was sounding great up to the point smoke shot out the port.
