^^ no doubt about it...that's why mine gets 400-500 and not that often either...I like my hearing!!

I have been driving 3000 watts (750 rms each) rms into 4 of then at 2 ohms without the coils or amps even getting hot.

hey i got the same single 2004 alpine type r 12" dual 2ohm in a same small box with one big port on the top of box not vented like your. would mine sound better in your type of box? or are the 2006 type r built better and sound better?
