1 DD2500a 12 vs 2 DD1500 10s vs other options
Hey so i am looking to upgrade my sub woofer and i would like some feedback. I have been attracted to DDs for quite some time (and not just the subs). I talked to my local shop guy and he says he runs 1000rms to his one 12" dd2500 all day long. I will be using a 1200rms amp for then new subs. The shop guys says 2x 10" 1500's retail at around 220 each or 1x12" 2500 goes for about 400. I would like to stick with one 12 in a vented box to save some room in my 2004 honda civic coupe trunk. Any other options for a sub that will handle my power level but maybe come in a little cheaper?
What amp do you plan on running?
two 10" woofers wont be much larger than a properly build 12" ported enclosure. (two 10"s are around 2.5 cubic feet and one 12" is around 2-2.25 cubic feet)
you will have more output with two 10"s woofers than one 12" woofer using the same amount of power on both woofers
