sent you a pm, ok guys what about this amp:

HIFONICS ZEUS ZXI8006 5 CHANNEL 800 WATT BRIDGABLE

* 4 x 55 Watts + 1 x 200 Watts @ 4 Ohms
* 4 x 110 Watts + 1 x 300Watts @ 2 Ohms
* 2 x 220 Watts + 1 x 200 Watts @ 4 Ohms
* High End Powerful Amplifier
* PWM Power Supply
* High Speed Bi-polar Outputs
* Regulated Power Supply
* Fully Adjustable Crossover Networks
* High pass filter
* Low-Pass filter
* By-Pass filter (No filter)
* Variable Bass Equalizing
* Supersonic Filter
* Diagnostic LEDs
* 4 Gauge Power wire Connectors
* Maxi-Fuse
* Gold Plated Inputs and Outputs
* 4 or 2 Ohm Stable
* 2 50A Fuses

there is one on ebay selling for about 220$ US. So each channel would get 110W from my speakers and i would have 300W left over for the sub. Is that enough, good idea?

Stick with the name brand stuff... MTX, Fosgate, Kicker, etc.

And as a few of us have said earlier, you're going to need 2 amps to get decent results.

300W to that sub just isn't going to cut it, and you're going to end up clipping the signal when you boost the volume to try to make it louder because it's not loud enough, and there goes your sub.

hey i got 2 of those type-r's 12in 2ohm ,in a sealed box,for now i am just looking for a mono block just to power my subs.as you know they are 500RMS each,so would i need a 1000wRMS amp running at 2 ohms,or is there other variations that i can do this???....i need to know this,its the only thing stopping me from having my system going.

Do not wire the front and rear speakers in parallel. Do not pass go. Your front speakers are the most important speakers in the vehicle, paralleling them with the rear is going to absolutely kill your ability to tune the front speakers indipendent from the rear. A 5 channel amp will indeed work in this application and choice dependent may be a better or worse way to go as compared to a 4 channel + mono. While price may be a factor, two amplifiers are more expensive to wire as compared to one and will no doubt draw more power from your power limited supply. My favorite system is a 5 channel amp and the amp I like using in this application is the Eclipse XA5000 which has more than ample power for this application. Is it cheap, nope, will it do the job properly, yes.

Rated power into 4 ohm (and underrated at that) is 50w x 4 into 4 ohm and for the sub 450w x 1 into 2 ohm.

Hifonics in my opinion is cheap crap in a box, you get what you pay for. While the line may be highly recommended by some people who buy based on price, others who have years of experience behind them do not use / recommend the line. Your power rating that you are thinking are flawed, you can have 110 w into 2 ohms, however, as you are using 4 ohm speakers wired in parallel to net the 2 ohm load, you will still only have 55w per speaker.

yea that is a nice amp indeed, the lowest i found it for is 420$ US plus shipping. I was hoping for something a little cheaper, haha. If audio was the only thing that i was doing to my car then i would not care too much, all i want is my system online and pounding. I am not here to win any competitions or have enough base to blow my trunk and windows hehe. Hence the reason why i only have 1 Type R sub. Is there any cheaper route, i know that i dont want my sub underpowered and my speakers underpowered i just want to fit everything into a 500$ budget with everything. This includes, wires, amps, capacitor, installation etc. I do not really want to go over that too much. I thank everyone for their help and will continue to look for more advice, you guys are really helping.
