i have 2 12'' audiobahn in a sealed box but im thinkin about moving to 1 10'' JL audio in a bassworx ported box shold i do thissssss ? runnin on a jbl 600.1
extra cab truck to .. or should i keep lookin .. ? maybe a 12'' in ported ?

I had 1 12" and went down to 1 10" in a dodge caliber and i gained 2db... But the 10" is a far better sub then the 12" was...

this depends on alot of things.... like the models and the fact that you just shouldnt waste money on a pre-built box, have one built or build one your self... its not only cheaper but then you can match the box to the sub so it will sound way better! ported boxes are louder then sealed, but they are also larger... so it will depend on how much room you are looking to give up.

yea i think the jl audio is way better then the audiobahns im not happy with them at all ..

most people arent... hahahah but yeah which JL is it? did you already buy it? are you buying new or used? and if new would you be interested in other brands that will flat out give you more boom for your buck?

I understand attraction to certain brands... I was locked into one brand just because of a love for it for a long time... and now looking back i basically wasted alot of money hahahaha....

its used 100 bucks for a 10 in a bassworx box with 2 5.5 inch rockford speaks with compononents. and na i havnt bought them yet. i am intrested in other brands what would you suggest ?. ah man i agree i feel like i wasted so much on those audiobahns i think my best purchase was my amp and my deck they both are blowin my away im still trying to figure out stuff on my deck

JBL makes solid stuff they always have... for like 3 times as long as ive been alive...

well that price is really kick ***.... If you were spending the money on new stuff id be trying to get you into Atomic... but I would STRONGLY recommend a custom box... pre fabs are just general boxes... you can have a really nice box made that will sound WAY better and can be made to fit your truck nice for a couple hundred... I know it sounds like a lot but if you plan to stick with the sub its money well spent! The box is 70% of the equation when it comes to output... bad box bad sound good box incredible sound!

and i can tell you this much right now... if its a bottom of the line JL your still going to be disappointed...

then again i have a sub in a box sitting in the living room right behind me that would beat the crap outta your truck with that amp.....

theres only one place to go for atomic... and they range from $100 - $700 for 10" + 12" something like that...

if you are planning on getting just one sub your not going to want entry level, you are going to want something that will take everything that amp has to give... 1 good sub one good box, and you'll be happy... so aim around middle of the road quality wise.

hey thanks man but where is this place that has em ? but thats still pretty crazy dela for the ten n t he speaks eh ? i might jus do it jus for the heck of it and save im definately gonna check those atomics out tho

just remember man its only a deal if something that you neeed! ok scratch that... if it will improve... if you need new front speakers id get it just for those then sell all your subs and boxes and get something good with the money from it
