I am aware that peak numbers don't count for much I am just using them for an example to get the idea out there.

I have done installs in the past but this question as really never come up. I usually run a pair of subs per amp or if its big enough 3 or 4 on 1 amp but he asked me what would be better and I wasn't 100% sure and I thouht rather then answer him and maybe be wrong I would ask insted.

I am mainly wondering if having an amp for each driver would be any real advantage or not.

1 amp for all would be ideal. less work to match both amps to run the same power to each or multiple woofers..
