5 Day Tweeter War!!!!
^^Under controlled conditions like RC's test you will not hear enough of a diff to make a diff...BUT amps behave (and sound) differently when pushed harder and and near the edge of their comfort zones, often this beefy performance capability is what people are after.
Adam, I knew that one was coming...And you were going to get back to me with something as well, heh!
Re: Class A kit, Best way to describe it would be a more embracing, seamless sound that takes you more into the music. Not as much volume but I personally enjoy it.

You WON one and didn't keep it? Oh man......if I could reach through my monitor and slap you upside.. I don't think it was a 100% TRUE class A amp. I'm not sure if any car audio amps that claim class A have ever been entirely 100% class A input and output stages. I do know though that they sucked up full current as soon as they powered up, which class A's do. About the most current knowledge I know of someone having interaction with those is Oakley when he did that Beaumont/Acadian last year. Perhaps he will comment.

3558 was "Pure Class A" up until the output stages which were A/B. One wonders the point...
A few years ago one of the rags did a test with a few largish amps and they stated the Pioneer 802 (I believe) ran Class A up until one or two watts and hten went A/B. Again...the point?
The only two car amps that I have ever thought were truly Class A were the Monolithic and the previously mentioned Pioneer ODR.
Mikko - your statement about the amps saved me from much typing. Thank you
Incidentally - this is a SPEAKER thread you ampoholics....
