^^then he'll need either 2 cross overs, or one 3 way cross over with 2 band pass channels. One for the mid bass between 20-100hz (hp) and 150-500hz(lp), and 100-500hz (hp) to 1k-7khz (lp) for the mids, and finally a high pass above 3khz or so for the tweeters...or a combination of the elec cross over and the amp's cross overs. Anyway, east to do on the car...hard to describe.

John, have a closer look at the Audio Control 6xs. It will provide 8 channels of output (all with a 13v peak line driver) from 2,4, or 6 channels of input. It will also give you a remote level control for the sub out. Sub out, rear hp, front hp, front lp (as in midbass) and all crossover points are adjustable.

Rob does it do bandpasss so he can run his midbass from 50-80hz up to 250hz or so!

Thank you very much. Fantastic reference points.

Now, heres where I may lose some of you...I do want the capability for 8 channels (not right now) if possible because...I LIKE rear speakers for fill. I have a baby SUV and I can damn sure here a dead area behind me with them off.

I'm running DLS components (150 WRMS) in the front, with provided crossover. Putting 200 per side to them currently with an A/B 2 channel amp (which bridges to 750 WRMS 1 ch. by the way, so cool )

The rears are being driven by my 4 channel (75 WRMS channel) and of course I'm only using 2 of the channels.

H/U (Pioneer 7000 something or other I think) and Amps are out of the picture. The deck will be used as a volume control and the amps as a power source, thats it.

Not enough control for me. I want time dealy if possible, control of each driver seperatly, you get the pictue. I dont mind some big-*** brain under the seat as long as I can fit a small control unit in the dash.

No audiocontrol unit will give you TA.

Nothing will be able to do what you want-3way front plus sub and rears- without buying more then one processor.

BEst bet for rearfill is to get some coaxial and run it off of deck power.

Sigh...always one in the crowd .

So two processor's now. Thats really more than I wanted to do darn-it. I guess thats why Mr Avidedtr got two 360's.

The rears off the head unit is a wonderful idea I never even thought of. Thanks.

John when you go watch a live act are they playing in front of you or behind you? Rear fill is not needed unless you are doing 5.1!

REAR FILL IS NEEDED BECAUSE IT SOUNDS BETTER WITH IT, THAN WITHOUT! LIKE I SAID AT THE BEGINNING GET AN ALPINE PXA-H701 AND AN RUX CONTROLLER...YOU CAN CONTROL EVERYTHING AND USE THE CENTRE CHANNEL MONO OUT FULL RANGE FOR YOUR REAR FILL. i WOULD SET IT UP LIKE THIS: FRONT 1-TWEETERS, FRONT 2-MIDRANGE, REAR-MID BASS, CENTER- REAR FILL, SUB-SUB...EVERYTHING IS ADJUSTABLE..SLOPES TO 30dB/OCT, 32 BAND EQS, T/A, PHASE, LEVELS, ETC...
