* Hi Pass Crossover: 40Hz-1KHz @ 12db (Ch1/2/3/4) - Top Mounted Fully Adjustable Linkwitz Riley Crossover Network - Heavy Duty Power Aluminum Heat sink
* Hi Pass Crossover: 10Hz-2.5KHz @ 12db (Ch5/6/7/8) - Full Range Pass Thru Line Outputs - Power and Protection LED Indicators

Reads real nice for $140+ship , and class D!! Only a single 30 amp fuse though a tad overrated...lol. Still!!

We'll call it Brand X for now XXLW8008

Opinions on this amp or some of the other 6+ channel amps? JL , MB quart?

I knew it would be the brand x brand from the title. The best 6 channel is the zed audio leviathan imo.

Wow.. never came across that one in my search. Very nice. Quite the adjustment options Also the priciest.
Get what you pay for I guess. A gently used one would be a great find I bet.

So if a person was using lower end separates, lets say <75wrms, the Brand X may be "ok" ?
But using it on anything that can take some power > 75wrms, the Brand X would be almost silly to use you think?

Kinda on topic, why is it that most of the 6+channel amps I find are marine units?

The next "step" up from the Brand X would be the MB quart and its a marine unit also, whats up with that?

complete guess here, but one amp is less drain on electrical than multiple, and boats don't have the same charging systems.

...there is definitely no shortage of car 6 channels though.

from the specs you listed that brand x looks appropriate. but who knows what kind of quality it is, whether it actually puts out the power, if its efficient, if its reliable, etc.

It looks like its only about 35 watts into 4ohms and 50 into 2ohms.. 35 watts is not a lot of power for a 4ohm speaker, and it doesn't appear to be bridgeable either... overall it looks pretty weak, and I think I'd pass...

what is it that you want to run as far a speakers go ?!?!

Looking into what it would cost to get another set of tweeters and run what we do have(Diamond audio D6 comps and Orion Mb6) in an active setup with one overall smaller amp instead of the 2 we use now (5chan and a 2chan).

Thanks for the thoughts guys, I think I'll skip the Brand X , if they don't do close to rated, which we can be fairly sure it doesnt, then what I have is already better

My bro almost laughed me off the phone when I told him about it

The leviathian is a sweet amp and as for as decent 6 channel all in one amps go is pretty cheap. I would have a leviathian in my car if it wasnt for the problems they had with the first gen before they troubleshooted the problem to a bad batch of some random part that i cant recall now. Arc also has a 6channel in the KS series amp thats class D aswell but its a bit more i think and isnt 150x6

Thanks for the other options Dukk, Ryls.. I check the Arc out for fun..

I found another Jl also ...The G660 , Slightly less cost anyhow, but the last two channels are fixed freq, not totally variable..
Seems like a good deal, a JL under $300.
