These are 10" woofers, and the motor strength is probably more than the crazy one in the video

(Borrowed the imaged from Thorshammer.)

Do you mean the one in the video or the ones with the neo motors? Should i be looking into neo subs instead? Have I been looking at the wrong subs this whole time?

im talking about the one in the video.

neo is kinda stupid as well, way too expensive. you are looking at $700+ for a single neo speaker like that. and unless you buy the best (Digital Design Z series - $1200+ each) you are still wasting your money.

like someone in this thread pointed out, soft parts are a critical component of an spl speaker. you can have all the magnet force you want but if soft parts cant hang the speaker will still break.

if you look carefully in the close up shot of that neo sub (second pic) where spider connects to the basket you can clearly tell it has been reconed, which means it has been broken. Also note all the broken sub parts atop the table in pic 1.

even the best motor on subpar soft parts makes less than perfect speaker. and I feel that both T3 (video) and DC (the pics) both fall in that category.

although the cone in the DC pic looks to be a 12", where he has a ten in foreground.

if there was ever a subwoofer made that had such amazing soft parts, everyone serious about SPL would be using them.

It's a 10". He had those mounting rings made for his 10's so he could mount them without the need for a split baffle when he had the lvl5 motors on there.

Those neo motors have about double the magnetic strength of the lvl5's.

there isnt a sub that wont break. but there are a few brands that are far above all other. it's not cheap either, you get what you pay for.
