Hey.. I'm lookin to replace all my factory poop in my 92 civic with some nice drop in coaxials and a good mp3 compatible head unit with an amp to power the 2 fronts.. I'm gonna have it installed professionally. I have shopped around a bit and have listened to some speakers and gotten some quotes and what not.. I would like to keep the price at no more around 800$ Canadian. Here is a few quotes I have gotten:

1 – KD-AR300 $189 JVC CD/MP3 Player
1 – SPS-170A $99 Alpine 6.5” Coaxial Speakers
OR
1 - RF-4306 $85 Rockford Fosgate 6.5'' Coaxial Speaker
1 – MRP-T220 $190 Alpine 2 Channel Amplifier
1 – AKPA-8 $50 EFX Amplifier Wiring Kit
1 – HA02-BAG $20 Wiring Harness
1 – INSTALL $140
1 - TOTAL $784.32 including taxes
OR
1 - TOTAL $769.00 including taxes (With The Fosgates)

This seems to be in the ballpark of what I want to spend on my front stage.. I will have no rear fill and will add a 10/sub later on next year sometime. If anyone could offer any opinions on this install.. maybe anywhere where I could get this stuff or quiv quality installed for the same price? I'm in North Vancouver B.C Canada.

Cheers

Seems good. The Fosgate speakers I find sound like pooh. Id prefer the Alpine.

North Shore Audio Video I have never heard anything poor.

Also the Guys down at Broadway Future Shop are good guys.

ya that is a good price for all that equipment, and install is a great price. you'd be much better off NOT getting it installed at futureshop though.

^ Actually Nothing wrong with FS. I suggested the Broadway one specifically. But since you live in Owen sound how can you make a statement like that.

I have found just as many ****ty installers at independant as Future Shop. And just as many good ones. Just another case of being misunderstood and following other peoples opinions of FS.

Oh and The RF speaker are Horrible just listen to them, if you like them then let someone teach you decent sound

We have 2 FS here, one is good and one is bad. The one in Halifax does excellent work, the one in Dartmouth seems to like to cut corners, they never have proper connectors or anything on the shelf or even in the install bay.... whereas the Halifax one always does.
