92 Civic Install
well just got back from north shore audio and video.. listened to a pait of Dragster oc612 coaxial 6.5.. fed it with concept audio cc452 amp.. man those speakers screamed.. has anyone ever heard fo dragster? I believe its concept audio's higher end line
have you had any experience with them ? They are rated 250 peak 100 rms.. they sound great but i never heard of em before.. just wantin to see if anyone has had any horror stories (ie./ their construction.. longetivity..etc..)
Most of their stuff is mid-level and decent in its price point. Amplifiers are overpriced IMO.
Listen to as many different speakers as you can and go from there. If you find a set you like but they are a bit higher priced then you anticipated then consider going with a used amplifier to save some cost. Buy the best sounding speakers you can afford.
Lot's of good stuff on the For Sale section here if you're on a budget.

ya that is a good price for all that equipment, and install is a great price. you'd be much better off NOT getting it installed at futureshop though.

It really bugs me when people start to slag other people that they do not know anything about what they can do and more importantly....what they done in this field. What are you trying to do???? Make your self look better????????
To "hi-i am new" the first thing you can do is go visit a few shops and talk to the Install Team. This will give you a little insight on what to expect from the Install and the Product.
The second thing you should do is RUN away from ANY shop slagging anyone else......The proof is in the work...NOT the mouth.
On a side note: look into getting some type of sound damping mat like Dynamat for your doors. This will make a great impact on the sound.

well being an ex concept dealer and not being too too happy with the last bit of product i played with i'd say go for the alpine amp. for the money the type s speakers are a wicked speaker specially if they are down low cause they are kinda high on treble. i would see if you can get like a panasonic cqc1300 instead of the jvcar300, jvc can sometimes be a nightmare or really awesome, but i dont carry that anymore cause had to do too much warranty on it. i dunno about the clarion i tried playin with one a little while back and found thier new stuff pretty hard to use. but to each his own.
