I have a Alpine CDA-9826 deck that I just bought. I burned and put in an mp3 cd and than went to put in the new K-os cd and it was stuck on mp3 mode and would not play the cd. I playedwith the buttons than it started to work than I put an mp3 cd back in. Later I put hte K-os cd in and it would not work once again. Iwas just wondering if this is not working because it is a copy protected cd. I do not have any other copy protected cd's to try and see if this is the case so I was just hopeing that maybe someone has had the same problem or can provide me with a solution. Thanx alot and I hope someone can help me out.

Maybe try resetting the deck, should be a small button on the facem to the right of the volume ****. I picked up the new K-OS cd on Friday, plays fine in my 9805.

It did work after I hit reset but there should be a way for me to play it wihout having to reset each time I would think.

If its a mixed mode cd (enhanced cd with videos or other stuff on it for the pc) then your deck is probably getting confused and trying to read the data portion of the disc. What you want to do is go into the menu and change the disk read mode.
Shouldnt have to reset it every time, but you may have to change that setting back and forth.
