BTW it wasn't a stupid suggestion. Is there such a thing?
Well im sure someone could help you out if you were interested in the eclipse piece.

I have heard you need to do have a very solid mounting location and also somehow make the HD have shock absorbers so that it doesnt "skip". I may be wrong with this but i dont think its as easy as bolting an HD into ur car and plugging it in.

Has anyone ever seen or used the I-Pod interface for Alpine? I am totally interested in this for my next system. I currently have a Kenwood 910DVD with the 10g music keg running on it. I Love the keg, having over 2000 tunes at my disposal at any time is awsome. I make sure I only use high bit rate files, and they sound pretty good for MP3.
But the kenwood dosn't give me the audio control I need even with the 901 proccessor hooked up for my SQ system. I don't want to switch brands for fear of losing the mass media storage, but I would love to switch to Alpine and getting me that 701 proccessor instead after hearing about this I-pod interface from Alpine Tim.
