where can i get a high output alternator that will fit without much fab work

in kelowna talk to wards auto electric, ask for tim, he did the fab work and stuff on the dual alternator setup in the h2 we did, and he is a very stand up guy, and oh yeah, be prepared to fork over some cake

They are in Richmond but they built all kinds of custom alternators

Hey! What about PAT? (team shadow) -- he has been known to build up an alternator or three, unless of course, he is too busy (rhyme intended)
