id be willing to throw someone a couple bucks and supply some beer if theyd be willing to come shoot the for a bit and help me out. im not much of an internet learner.

i have a basic idea of what to do but id rather have someone explain it to me in person and help me with what i should grab.

Thanks,

Alex im just at whites road and kingston if anyone is in the area.

you need to set a budget first before you look at doing anything else.

for $1000, you can have a very nice system

The Fi Q is a great choice, but be prepared to spend a near $500 CND once it arrives at your door.

I would suggest maybe a pair of 10" SSD's or even 3 10" X's as they are cheap and can take good power.

Once you determine the subwoofers you are using, you then wanna look at amplifier options. you can find some good used equipment floating around on the forums sometimes, but being winter, things have slowed down.

Next is your electrical. I'm going to suggest taking a look at Knukonceptz.com as they have some really great wiring for an even better cost. Go with 1/0awg wiring as you will then never truely have to upgrade after that. Running an extra batt is also helpful, and there are a couple out there that cost as much as capacitors do.

Also to add to my post, you need to figure out whether you wanna install it yourself, or get it installed at a shop.

I know there are many people on this forum, that will install the equipment for half the price a shop will

don't forget about Mach 5 Audio, i've got 2x 12" subs from them that can do 1000rms (per sub) no problem. cost effective, made in Canada (Manitoba), and great quality.

IXL-12 v2 BR [IXL-12 v2 BR] - $169.00 : Mach 5 Audio

Note: it says 800rms, but he lowered it due to people trying to use them with far more power then they could handle.

are you running a factory deck? if so, you are wasting money regardless of what you are getting and it will sound like a nightmare.

Check out Db-r electonics on the net. They just started a 25% off sale on refurbished Sundown amps. The 1500d is $250 plus shipping. The get the knukoncepts wire like already mentioned. And I would suggest the Mach5 IXL's also. Heard two tens and they were impressive, especially for the price. But if you want Fi, my brother has a 2008 BL that's dual 2ohm with the flat wind coils, and cooling option he may want to sell. Pm me if you want some pics.

i feel like im getting ripped off and me being only 19 thats a lot of money to lose when i could get much more.

my goal is to be pushing 1000 watts but if this is a good deal then im not going to be able to.

Can anyone point me in the right direction. where to go/what to get/who to install if this set up is way over priced.

Thanks,

Alex.

this is what i don't understand, a 400 watt sub on a 700 watt amp and you want to push 1000 watts? Am I the only one who caught on to this!

you know the internet can be a good research tool

plus, I don't think you're getting ripped off, you getting what you're paying for, but what your getting is not necessarily want you want/need.
