Amp Problem

My buddy just got his amp hooked up in his vehicle. It was running fine, hadn't cranked it yet or anything, and after a couple of days he started having some trouble. Now every time he turns the vehicle on, before the music starts playing, there is a huge voltage drop down to like 9 volts and the fuse blows under the hood. Checked all wiring, seems to be fine. Anyone got any ideas of what it might be?

Sounds like a Mad short within the amp when the remote turns it on..

Does the amp get warm when this happens?

disconnect the subs... if it still happens the amp is probably dicked up...

It it stops its either bad wiring or a short in one of the subs... my guess its the amp tho.. fuses pop like that when fets in the psu have let out their magic...

I'm pretty sure the amp is messed too. Gonna throw in a different amp and see what happens. Guess if the other amp runs then its a tough break for my buddy.
