ok ppl i need some help... my amp wont work
The amp is a American Bass VFL 200.1

when i turn it on it sits for a few sec's then goes in to protection
I have tried it with the sub and the RCA's disconnected at it still goes in to protection.

when it 1st hapenned it was after I went over a bump the stereo wasn't cranked and the voltage was fine and it has been doing it ever since the bump.
I have it opened up and as far as i can see nothing looks burnt.

anyone got any ideas?

 

The AB 200.1 is basically the same amp as the e-Audio 3000-D, and those amps have been having terrible problems with the connectors on the fets breaking. It's something like the board isn't mounted in to the chasis 100% correctly so the vibrations (ie, big bump) is causing them to snap.

I'd probably check there first.

 

Be sure to check the entire length of your speaker cables. There could be an intermittent short somewhere.
