no it wouldnt be just means you have to run at 4 ohm so whatever the amp does at 4 ohm will be what you send to your subs so it will be significantly lesss then running at 1 ohm

 

Would a marine amp be able to run in my car because future shop offers a 1000 watt stable 1 ohm amp but it is a marine amp.

 

a marine amp is for boats only wouldnt be in your best interest to get that amp , give my buddy dale a call he will hook u up 1250 426 5734

hes a great guy , if it wasnt for dale lending me subs last year i would of missed regionals and many other shows , hes helped me to the max with my car and hooked me up with everything i needed to get it going , its his birthday today so im sure hes got some birthday plans

 

How do I know if my deck can run the amp I buy? Is there an easy way to tell before buying the amp?

 

Almost every aftermarket deck has RCA outputs on the back....as long as you have 1 pair of them you will be fine.
