Amps which are typically not power pigs
Upgrade your battery.
AND, most people forget that you can get just as loud and angry (80% of the time)with a more efficient woofer and a lot less power............ and of course Dukk porting!!! Bigger/bada$$ gear just means you have to SPEND MO MONEY to get it all to work properly. I agree, nice ot have big and bada$$ stuff when you pop your trunk, but if you want play with BIG gear, you gonna have to pay not only for this premium equipment but also pay for the stuff needed to back it all up that makes it work properly.
Of note, I'm not specifically refering to your equipment, but just commenting in generalities
Just my penny and a half.

Zutronius,
You stated that on partsexpress.com they have subsonic filters. If you click on the link below, are these the items you’re talking about? Furthermore, would you go with the 20 or 30 Hz model for my S12L7?

Thanks

My baby is officially fixed and she pounds just as hard as she did before. The problem was a couple of broken solders in the power connector.
I have decided to keep the amp and I have 1.75 cubic foot vented box lined up which is going in this thursday.
As for the subsonic filter issue I have managed to get my hands on a slightly used audiocontrol 2XS for it's subsonic filter and also for increased voltage output. I really don't know if it is neccessary in this setup though. I have to agree that the kicker is a though mother of a sub and the xtant is only sending out clean vibes. Furthermore, this box is tuned to 32 Hz so I don't anticipate a problem.
If anyone is interested in this Audiocontrol unit send me an email and if you give me what I paid for it ($100 CAN) I'd be happy to sell it.
For the while I am content. Now if I could just get my damn tuning box to stop setting off my ECU engine warning light I'd be a happy kid.

Take out your Head Unit and pop by your VW dealer to have the car daignostixed !
Had a similar issue with similar audio setup , turned out to be the airflow sensor , not the system !

Yeah, I've already had the car diagnosed by my dealer. They completely replaced the ECU and like clockwork the engine warning light comes on after I've had the tuning box in for about a month or two. I may end up taking the tuning box back to where I bought it to see if there's something wrong with the actual box. My warranty is good until December.
Thanks anyways for the input.
