we could argue about this all day. I agree a ported box can kick ***, if its designed to proper specs, but too often people just toss them into a generic pre-fab ported box and it ends up sounding like crap. I like sealed boxes more myself, saves trunk space and tight clean response. if your all about max boom then port it.

great so back to my question lol...Isnt it bad to hook up 2 SVC 4 ohm subs to a two channel amplifier? this would rule out the 400.2

Yes the 4002 should not be ran at 2ohm. If you are buy 2 MZS 10" buy the 4001. The other alternative is to buy a 1 single MXS with a 4002 4 ohm mono.!!

Well looks like the 4001 is falling right into my budget. It just dropped to 349.99 today and thats not sale price. Maybe i'll just go with it. It wont hurt my subs anyway.
