that's the reality of it homeboy. Db Drag sanction fee is like over $1000 for a multi point show. It's just retarded.

Imagine what its like holding IASCA or Db Drag show if you are not a judge? U gotta pay the fee and then pay the judge on top of that.

If the org doesnt wanna work with you try working with yourself. You got a mic? Set up your own circut. We have CSPL here in Ontario, it works out pretty well. Had like 20 something shows last season alone.

DEFRO

So if I understand you correctly, IASCA should ignore all the fees, rules, and proceedures it has set in place and throw them out the window because we have promoters out WEST who are going to hold shows. IS THIS CORRECT! I just want to be on the same page as you so I can figure out where the confusion is.

AND LASTLY I WOULD LIKE TO ASK YOU WHO YOU TALKED TO AT IASCA? BECAUSE IT SURE WASN'T ME, AND I AM THE ONE YOU WOULD HAVE TO TALK TO IN CANADA ABOUT SHOWS, JUDGES TRAINING, FEES ETC.

SO UNTIL YOU TALK TO ME I DONT GET YOUR RIFT.

Judges training in the past used to be easy and pretty much anyone could become one. Todays training is more detailed and involved and can take up to two days to complete. Then once you pass there is a regular evaluation to make sure each judge is only judging the classes they have experience in.

Were trying to make all the judges we have more consistant and fair and that all starts with good training and keeping our judges up to date with current rule changes.

Just because someone thinks they have a good ear does not make them a expert onhow to evaluate sound in a car.

I am not sure what Daves SQ is all about but I am all for people having fun in the lanes and I wish the series the best of luck.

The trainings I do all over the world and at home do take ONE FULL DAY...PERIOD. I wish I could shorten them but if you ask anyone in ONTARIO who has been attending the trainings year after year I am sure they will tell you that the day is jam packed and it does in fact take a full day.

I only said Two days for training to you, as there has not been a certified training out there for a very long time. I am also sure there are way more people then just yourself who arent as experienced as you are who will want to attend a IASCA training. One day could be used to go over the rule book and proceedures(which is a typical training) but we could design a second day for a more serious question and answer day with some IDBL training as well. I am sure this would be very useful for those who want to take advantage of this.

Defro I am not saying you arent qualified to judge, all I am saying is that everyone has to take the proper training to judge, whether you feel it is valid or not.

Our trainings are very informative and can be valuable to anybody who wants to learn about car audio. Some people come out to simply learn more while others come out to become entry level Certified IASCA judges.

Your perceptions of IASCA are duely noted and I take everyones comments very seriously, but what I will not stand for is people who state we are just IRRATANT. I take my business very seriously and I have put more hours in for free then anyone will ever know simply to try and give back to the industry that has helped me for so many years.

I have said this before and I will say it again, I am more then willing to have a conversation with you or anyone else who would like to set up a judges training. I will discuss with them the cost involved and how to budget the event.

AND as for the sanctioning fees. Single point events cost a measly $25.00.

Maybe Im not to involved in this stuff, but Wouldnt you think that As long as someone can host something like this in your area you would be happy its there and not complain?? Im not getting into detail or anyhting cuz i dont have time to waste on trying to Flame about something that doesnt deserve that much of my brain capacity, Instead of fighting and flaming why doesnt everybody just taker easy, Try to find way to help, rather then putting it down. From what Ive read I dont know what the problem is with puttin a few days of your life into learning something. Especially if its something you love so much? It really shouldnt phase you. I mean If its munny your stretched out for then Dont do it! =D Anyways its late, Im tired. Hope everything gets sorted out, Always does. HAPPY SQ'ing!
