audison bit 1

they have totally re-vamped a lot of the software, and gotten rid of the "hissing" issues.
This is an awesome product....and for integrating systems to vehicles where you cant change the head unit...it's second to none.
As far as setting it up, and tuning from a laptop.....I would use this initially as a good referance, then fine tune manually (from the BIT ONE software)....there is a ton of user-ability on this product...it's not a use the settings or nothing product. It is VERY user friendly...and does offer ANY system a ton of flexibility and tuning.
As Dave mentioned...there are way too many things it can do, to start listing them off on this thread.....check out the Audison website Audison - Music Expression for more info

IMHO they have a great sounding unit. They missed however, to manipulate the basics in Car Audio. ie: Turn on/Turn off pop. Alt whine and the lovely Digital data noise/ticking and source selection pops.
Software related, it's pretty good. Stable and user friendly. The Bandpass xover slope can only be the same for now! No parametric EQ but I don't use it.
I still have faith in this processor. Unless these problems are addressed, I'll be moving on.

Seems alright from what I heard in Julians car...
BUT, why would a company largely based on it's reputation put out a unit that obviously wasn't ready to be released?
Those issues may be fixed by now, but too late for me, they have left a sour tatse in my mouth because of this unit and they will get zero of my dollars until they redeem themselves.

alright....here we go.........first off the bit one is a very cool piece when it comes to trying to intergrate in with a factory headunit.....we have sold and installed quite a few and the first ones were less than perfect, we had noise issues, we had a wierd issue with the current sensing remote turn on, we also had one that if it was left on for more than a few hours if locked up and had no output......these were all problems with the first ones we had.....the more recent ones have had none of these problems at all and it seems that they have worked out the bugs......having said that..... for oem intergration it would on the top of my list of processors to use without a doubt....its very flexible, has great x-over flexibility and good eq capabilities and there are great multiple input capabilities, fibre optic, digital coax, rca and hi level speaker inputs.....but if you have an aftermarket headunit i would perhaps look at trying to find an alpine pxah701.....its easier to use by a long shot, offers the same features if not more, with the exception of the multiple inputs of the bitone, and doesnt require a laptop to set up.......its very important to note that anytime someone has come along and tried to reinvent the world of signal processing that it hasnt come without its fair share of problems, alpine pxah700/701/h900, jl audio crapsweep, rockford 360 and audison have all had there problems and only a few have managed to fix theres.....it seems that audison has and should be commended for doing so in such a short period of time......
