i myself have the computer and the bit one both in my ride.... with a computer you are capable of endless capabilites but you open a whole new can of worms... the bit one takes its time turning on most of the time at about 10 seconds some time, seems to get faster withevery software update though, and the computer.. well your looking at like 30 seconds no problem, 20 seconds with hibernate.

i have had my bit one for a while now and have fallen in love with it. it has let me down once before and a software update later i have yet to give up a complaint other than i want a smaller laptop as i have a 17" monitor lol

any ? you have relating to either device i would be happy to answer and my computer is no baby. its a p4 with 1g ram and a 120gb hd and 128mb graphics lol..

gary, the sh!tone use 98% mouse. Touch screen would probably work but I would test it first. The only time you need to type things is when you save. but as long a you make a preset for A B C D and an all in one you won't need it.

For me on analogue/optical and coax, I get turn on and turn of pops and no noise.

When switching from Master(analogue) to Optical to Coax I'll get random pops. Sometimes Loud sometimes not. Also when switching to coax - if there is no electrical current, the B1 will lock up and reset.

In optical I get digital data noise at startup. Stops once my W505 syncs up. Also random light ticking sounds. Try a zero bit track you'll hear it there.

In coax I get digital data after I eject a disc. Also random light ticking sounds. Try a zero bit track you'll hear it there.

Sounds to me the digital gates are not closing when no signal is present.

Julian

I have turn off pop and pop when i change source on my w505
i have a bit.one.1 connected with rca on input 1 and 2
no optical, coax or any aux input

i have only pop when i change source, radio preset or turn off

no whine, no thick sound, nothing, only turn off and source
and only with w505
i have a Mcintosh and absolutly no issue with this hu

julian do you have nothing nice to say about the bit one.... its an awesome unit it really is and software updates have brought it a long way i think the digital noise you are having is an issue in which you have not setup the bit one correctly from the start.. you should program the bit one in the analoge mode and then switch over to digital. maybe try that.. i love mine personally and have not wished i hadent got it ever and i did do alot of research in processors before i picked it up too. next investment for me is one of those slick 8" laptops man.. they are so pimp! and tiny
