Dave can you confirm that a bitone.1 used with an aftermarket deck has no turn on turn off, alt whine, digital data noise and source selection pops?

For me on analogue/optical and coax, I get turn on and turn of pops and no noise.

When switching from Master(analogue) to Optical to Coax I'll get random pops. Sometimes Loud sometimes not. Also when switching to coax - if there is no electrical current, the B1 will lock up and reset.

In optical I get digital data noise at startup. Stops once my W505 syncs up. Also random light ticking sounds. Try a zero bit track you'll hear it there.

In coax I get digital data after I eject a disc. Also random light ticking sounds. Try a zero bit track you'll hear it there.

Sounds to me the digital gates are not closing when no signal is present.

Julian

The main reason I'll stay away from the Bitone is that Audison released a product that was NOWHERE near ready for the main stream and let the users do their beta testing.

There was many issues with the dealers denying the problems, saying it was a software fix and other lies and half truths.

Not the way you instill confidence in the public.

Even if they addressed these issues, it was only after a LOT of pressure from the users/internet

From my understanding I got a 1.1 and now another 1.1 with the exact same symptoms.

For my current install one dealer suggested the Bit-1 but I already use Zapco DC amps with the sound processors built in with control from your laptop... I love'em, so I would probably like the Bit-1 if I had amps without the option of satisfying my tweekiness!

wow thanks everyone for your input and views on the bit 1 by audison it sounds like some small growing pains on the part of turn on pop and small noises in switching i hope i get a late version re tested.im installing this bit 1 with a multi channel jl audio 500/5driving 3 way xr components with zr 8 inch in glass pods on the kick panel area and a jl audio 8w7 in a spec ported enclosure /console 2 way coaxials sit in factory center dash placement and i presently have the pg tantrum 30 eq it works good but no sound time alignment good adjustmentson the eq all this is carefully placed in a 1968 merc truck regular cab with suprising good image and soundstage with the jl audio center "ambience" cascade sound dampener floor to roof and doors have seperate enclosures for the 6.5 mid woofer approx .3 ft tight but worth every sweat drop.i drive the system with the awesome kenwood kvt815 dvd with full navigation i will now replace the pg 30eq with the bit 1 and install an external p.c.or lap top to operate the
bit 1 real time hopefully wireless mouse also or touch screen???
my question is has anyone got a computer p/c in their ride?? problems??
opinions are great tools to help make a better decision for everyon.

cheers...
