SQmonster u cant come in here and say that expensive is better , ur one of those person who like to buy JL W7's because their " expensive " , so why dont you just leave it to r1d1n5p1nn3r5 because he is the one who seems to be helping me and i have had experience with pioneer subs but not the new series , their not that bad , hell there very good for spl , put a Pioneer 307 in a 40hertz ported enclosure on a seat of a hatchback if not the trunk then watch , u can be heard 2 blocks away and that was one of my first system and i was only feeding that sub 400 RMS using a Diamond audio amp

Its ok, his customers can see that he sells "junk" as he says, to them and be reassured that he backs the products they are are buying.

I'm here with my experience. The Pioneer Premier 3001 subs blow up far too often for me to say to you that you should get a pair from somewhere that can't warrantee them very quickly for you. They are heavy and will cost you lots of money to ship them back to wherever to get a new one. My Pioneer rep has eluded to the fact that when they first came out with this model, they had a flaw and have since fixed that flaw. So my question to you is, are you getting the new ones or the flawed ones? They have the same model number.
The other products that I mentioned are very inexpensive as well. Have you looked at any local shops that could hook you up for a good price, with an over the counter exchange policy?
I have had JL W7's before. You're right, they are over rated for what they give you for the price.
Diamond Audio has some very nice products. I've used them before and have been impressed.
SPL is not always about huge sums of power gobbed with massive pistons. At my shop, we've been running an 8" sub in a ported box with a couple of hundred watts to it for over a year now. It pounds, has never had any warrantee issues and it helps to sell itself all the time.

To danyman the cyclops is an excellent amp, 4000@1, strappable, reliable, and will do rated power. I believe Tom aka shocking canada had one. He could let you know how it performed for him. If you have any other Qs regarding maxxsonics products just pm me.

The only Authorized direct online dealer is Online Car Stereo, ebay sellers and other sites may have warranties, but it is their own and not warranted by maxxsonics. The cyclops MSRP is 2100 US.
