What about a Z1. Prolifik has his for sale still I believe..or at least the thread is still at the top of the classifieds section. That will power your 3500's and then some. Just a thought.

Yes DD's take a lot of power but 8000watts on 2 x 3500 is not a daily driver situation. Thats when your burping them and have a re-cone kit ready to go. Which is what BigBadDually isn't doing. Even then with 8000watts think of the electrical upgrades he would have to do.. and he isn't even competeing.

I would check out something from the Hifonics lineup. Over rated yes but they are cheap and they will cover your daily thumping needs. I bought one when I barely knew anything about car audio and my DD 9515 fell on my lap (bought off my brother).

I still don't know a lot but I know more than I did to start :P.

My Hifonics BXi 2006D puts out plenty of power for daily beating and it runs great.

DDZ1 would be a great amp and if Yuli still has his for sale, scoop it before it is gone.

Hertz have just released their new line of amplifiers (from the makers of Audison)........HP1D makes 2300 watts RMS @ 1 Ohm....the MRSP is $1999.
2-year warranty.....and it's strapable if that aint enough for you.

Cartunes in Coquitlam has one on their wall with twelve 12" subwoofers on it.....it frickin' pounds......and has a ton of control over the woofers (no sloppy bass here).
And the display isn't even capable of delivering the full amount of power to the amp....it would be scary if it could.

These amps are "dead sexy" too.......very nice cosmetics and tons of real power.

Hmmm, that's ALOT of money for only 2300wrms. People could get DD Z1s for less money. But hey, maybe they're worth it
For that kind of money he could even pick up an Atomic 5k (which is also strappable, but maybe too much money for those 35s).
IMO, he'd be better off buying a good used 4kw amp, like a Memphis 4k or Crossfire 4k, and putting the rest of that money into his electrical.

Talking go old school

If you can get you hands on some older stuff like the Hifonics vii or viii amps
as well as some old Zapco you will be laughing.
Those amps will do wonders and pricing will be less than you
wanted to spend.
I too would say go with one amp to do both subs either in stereo or mono.
Good luck buddy.

This is all great.......but can the guys car deliver 600 amps to an amplifier ?? 'Cause thats what it would take to make 4000 watts.

Even the amp I suggested comes with a 300 amp fuse......!!

As for value for the money........comparing Hertz amps to a Crossfire (nothing wrong with them.....but just not in this league).......is like comparing an F1 car to a stock civic......

theres power....and then theres.....POWER.

2300 Watts RMS is a shi* load of power for ANY 2 subwoofers.....regardless of brand or power handling.

Again.....can the guys electrical system keep up.....thats the big question.

You don't need to spend that much, if you already have one JL 1000/1 then just get a second. 2000Wrms is a ton of power. Without doing to much to your electrical and charging system this would most likely be the best route.
