i am new to posting here but you can take this for what its worth....

i have competed for 5-6 yrs and i have been to world finals 2 times in street b in db drag.

during this time i was the only person to ever place top 4 in a trunk car at world finals.

ok that was a lil bit about me , but here is what i was wanting to get to...

i have a setup in a mini van right now and i used 4 dd 9515's and 2 soundstream xxx-6500's

well after looking into a GOOD amp company that could help me as i helped them , i stumbled onto Sundown audio....

in MY testing, direct swap of 2 SS 6500's (.5ohm each) changed out to 4 sundown 1500d's ( 1ohm each amp) i gained .2db...

now that may not seem like alot but think of it this way....

the 6500's are rated for 6500 MAX and around 4500 rms so a rating of 9,000 rms from 2 amps with a cost of $$$$$$$

now the sundowns are rated rms for 1500 rms that's 6,000 rms (i feel is underated) .... with a much lower price.

i would have to suggest that if you would like a great built amp and a good amount of $ for watt then i must suggest the sundown 1500d.

good luck in what you choose.

What kind of electrical is behind your amps?
It's fairly common knowledge that the xxx-6500s aren't terribly efficient, which hurts in the classes where you're battery limited; you can max out long before you make full power. Relatively inefficient amps like your 6500s, CF 4ks only makes that problem worse, whereas amps like the Z1 shine.
From all accounts (internet only), the Sundown 1500 is fairly efficient, so it's not all that surprising that you gained (depending on electrical anyway).
Nothing wrong with saving a mittfull of money at the same time.

I look forward to seeing these pics man!!! Personally I ran the sundown line, Regret selling my amps!!! But times and people change, now the topic at hand, I think the Electrically in a Cummins with dual battery already has 4ga big 3 stock IIRC(depending on year as well), Never hurts to double check that, and maybe swap those batts for some deep cycles
