I've sold and listened to the pioneer premier 10's and 12's and bassworx makes a shallow box specifically for these subs. They sound awesome IMO.

bassworx box model is PSW2541 = 10" PSW3041 = 12"

Any idea where I could get my grubby little hands on one of those boxes. I realize I could order them off the internet, but I have no credit card, and can't get a paypal account. Parents tend to ruin that kind of fun.

Go to the big tree. Take a left. You'll see a guy in a yellow jacket named Steve, he'll take you to the whopper layer.....

I've got my eye on the new Alpine SWS-1243D, I'm not sure how shallow it is compared to some of the other slim ones. But crutchfield canada has them on their site for $180, and I think there's some good reviews out there so far.

Shifty.

I did an install in my friends Tacoma with the Pioneer Premier 8", sounds great. Tight bass, plays the lows nicely, in a small box too.

Certinly not the cheapest option. But you may want to wait for the JL Audio thin woofers. I have not heard them myself, but the company builds some the best subs around. Might be worth a look?
