I broke mine in as follows- first hour- 50 -100 watts rms
second hour- little higher
third hour and beyond-use,misuse +abuse!

boost I can not remember what its set at, its being powered off a cadence audio Amp
not clipping. 420guy helped set my gains yesterday.

What is the cadence rated at into 4 ohms mono? Maybe it's under rated in its "claimed output" so that its pushing more than you think. Try setting your "bass boost" at 0 on your amp, and set your bass "flat" on your deck. Crank it up and see if it sounds better and, or if you can apply more power to the sub.

its rated to do 500W at 4 ohms
its running off of a factory deck with a LOC (I know)
I am not worried, now back to your trunk!

Don't know why you're shouting but......

One thing they usually forget to mention is the addition of chicken wire or similar mesh across the inner port opening.....it is moderately embarrassing to crank up your new system and have it start snowing in your trunk or even better in the back of your hatchback.....

Nice job on the trunk chillin, very factory looking.....

...Thanks BigredGuy. I have built subwoofer boxes before in the past, and built home speakers ect, but this was my first attempt at doing up a trunk. I like how it finally turned out, and the approval of fellow "car audio junkies" such as yourself is "icing on the cake".

Yup,

I bet the actual output on your "cadenance" exceeds its 500 watt rating. Most of the good amps exceed their rating.
