best way to make this work?

I have a 2001 jeep cherokee xj. I just bought the following to install.

Kenwood KDC-X696
Pioneer TS-D1302R

I would like to play the music from my Samsung Galaxy Nexus on the head unit itself.

Now having already researched this a bit it sounds like the best connection for quality sound is usb. Here is the problem: my phone wont work. its one of the few with the mtp for usb and not usb mass storage which is needed for the head unit to recognize the phone. ( learned from the android forum)

So my question is whats the next best connection for quality sound?
1. Aux input
2. bluetooth streaming
3. pandora app for android

Thanks for the help.

Likely the Aux input.

Will that deck not control a USB jumpdrive? Cheap solution.

Yes it probably will just trying to cut down on what I have to carry. I always have my phone on me so thats the first option but probably use the aux and will work fine.

Yeah. I just figured with a jump drive it can just be left in the car since they are less than $20
