Boss monoblock amps ?
If you have the cash to spend on a nice Audison amp (and I still think you have a problem in your system to not be satisfied with that amp) then why not stay with at least a reputable product.
Boss is a flea market amp. Just my opinion and yes I have installed and listened to them.

ok... I never really knew it was a flea market amp... relax..
The reason I asked is because a local shop carried these amps... and thought that the prices/wattage was not bad...
Thats why I asked questions about it...
so basically it a low end garbage amp...like Legacy , Pyramid etc etc..
ok..thanks

They actually come from the same build house as planet audio... and I think a 5year warranty speakes for itself... alot of companies that are considered higher end then boss don't offer warranties like that....
Hmm... I think I've seen RF and MTX for sale at flea markets too...
As far as power... like I said, their 'maximum' rating boasted on the front is just that... it's dynamic and not continuous, and it's probably at 14.4V input...
Most snaudiophiles would probably see this as overrating... but I still think they deliver a pretty good bang/buck ratio.....

They aren't as bad a pyramid and legacy etc.. they're power ratings are a bit over rated, but not like pyramid! A agree with haunz, and they are good bang for the buck.. there is definitely alot better gear out there.
Lots of products come out of the same build house. The products are built specifically for a manufacturer's request and it has no reflection on the quality of the components used.
ie. if a Sony 1000watt monoblock came out of the same build house as the RF BD1000 does that mean they are equal in quality and performance?
What if that Sony has a year longer warranty and was $100 cheaper? Would you go with the Sony for these reasons or would you get the RF?
I personally would rather have a proven performer that does its job without complaint instead of an amp that costs me less, performs less, and is in for repair most of that "extra" warranty period.

I would agree that they are a step up from Pyramid, Legacy, and some models will pull some current and make power but meeting specs and being reliable is what counts.
I would just like to see you go another route that's all.

BUY A RF
Its relatively good quality, you can get a decent price at the shop I THINK you're frequenting, and considering you shelled out for the Audison, you MUST have a few bucks hidden somewhere, as I would hazard a guess that the Audison ran you a little bit more than a decent RF will.
OR if you're dead serious....wanna buy my zapco, hehe, you could run one AG750 on each coil of that 8 and see if it helps
But seriously, I'd see whats wrong with the Zapco first, then decide. Maybe the fact that TWO very GOOD amps have crapped out leads you to think something MIGHT be going wacky?

And ya, the boss amps are very similar to the PA amps...
I finally clicked on the link posted, and the amps 'max' ratings seem to be in peak power... it can probably hit 1500RMS @ 1ohm... not bad for the price point...
Ummm the pyramid 2400D is the same amp as the lanzar 1200D which is a proven preformer...
Enough said...
