I was just wondering if it would be possible to swap my air conditioning in my car with a another alternator under the hood, without ripping all the A/C components out? if so, would it be easy to swap back if i ever decide to sell me car??? thanks in advance, just wondering because it would be cheaper to have a seperate alt just to run my system and my car runs like **** with the A/C on anywayz!

Your A/C draws current, doesn't make it...so you are going to have to get another Alt with a kit of some sort because making your own is a pain. You could pull out your A/C but as long as it is not on, you don't draw current away from your amps. I have seen a couple double stacked alt setups and they are friggin cool. They had about 400 amps plus at 1500 rpms.

You can totally do it, and leave all the A/C components in. Except for the compressor of course.
