I was dirving and all of a sudden the sound stops. Everything else works but no sound. "no i dont have it hooked up to an amp and the mute is not on". And please reply ASAP as my pc crashed and i'm at work.

YOU PROBABLY BLEW A SPEAKER,or have a short in one of your speaker wires so the internal amp is in protect mode. you need a meter to check all your speaker impedances and to check for a short.
