CDA-9835 i retract my previous opinion

for the last while i've been running a cda-7998 and have been loving it, awesome deck, beautiful sound and the fantom face is pretty cool wish alpine still kept that line going. everything was all good and great till i wanted to get the new ipod interface, i find out that this super rad deck wont work with it cause only 2004 models are supported. so now i'm back to a 9835, after reading the input from me previous post the first thing i did was run a 10ga powerwire from the battery and a nice 10ga ground from the chassis. no butt connectors on the power soldered everything and just for fun since i had deck power again i hooked up my avi components to the deck running in 3way mode. first impression after setting the crossovers and everything is that it doesnt sound any different from the 7998 and a ryval 4.50 amp. so i am pretty impressed with the 9835 now deck power on my avi xlexpresses sounds wicked awesome. now i just need to get a sub in there again

i'm saying that it doesnt really sound that far off from it at low to moderate volumes. once you start turning it up the deck power starts to cut out and the mids dont really go up in volume just the highs and there is a slight bit of distortion, but i've always noticed that with previous decks i've had running the internal amp on them. i'm pretty impressed with it though, i guess the lil kipper just needs some clean power to run decently. but cant wait to get an amp back in there i took all my stuff out so i can fit tools in my car when i come down on tuesday

cda-7998 has aux all you need is a-bus to aux
adapter KCA-121B should support all cda decks.
