Optometrist to patient "You're going to have to stop masturbating"

Patient "Why, will it make me go blind?"

Optometrist "No, but it's bothering the other patients!"

Show me ANYTHING that says that a V8 is more powerful than an inline-4 JUST BECAUSE it has more cylinders ...

Guarantee you can't ...

You know why ? Because the amount of cylinders doesn't really matter so much as the design and displacement of the engine ... Most V8s are over 4 liters in displacement whereas most I4s are 2 liters or less ...

In fact, more cylinders can be counter-productive as ...

1) More moving parts generally leaves less room for error
2) More moving parts generally means more friction (power loss)
3) More moving parts generally means greater expensive in production and repair

Not only that, but when overtaking at 140 km/h, gearing and aerodynamics play a large role as well as horsepower ...

A = (F-R)/M
Acceleration = (Force - Resistance)/Mass
