I don't really know what I want, everyone is telling me something different. I want it to pound, but not overkill to shake my truck apart. I think I am going to end up with Pioneers or Alpine, I just don't know what. Thanks for all the help so far guys.

Here is my 2 cents on the whole thing. Without paying thin mounting premium I would get a pair of JBL GTO1002D as they are roughly 4" mounting depth and very reasonable on price and a JBL CS300.1 amp to boot. All of which would come well within your budget and sound great. Its not to much, just clean sound. I also still have one pair of Infinity 1040W subs on sale last pair which are pretty much Identical to the GTO1002D's and you could easily have a 4 gauge amp kit added into that budget. If you were to get the Infinity's, amp and kit you would be way below budget. If you want a price let me know just PM me or email at sales@smartass.bz
